So, it seems I’m going to Iceland.
I’ve been accepted for a master’s degree program at Reykjavik University. I have my passport, preliminary residence permit and a place to live, and funding through the GI Bill. Most important of all, I have an import permit to bring my cat, Hobbes. How could I go without him?
The program lasts a year and a half — a bit more than five hundred days. I’ve spent about three weeks in Iceland on trips in the summer, spring, and winter. This means I have enough experience to think I know what to expect, and also enough to know I really don’t. So it’ll be an adventure, and I’ll try to share as much of it as I can in this blog. I can’t promise any deep insights, but maybe one or two will creep in on their own. I do promise to take pictures, and to share them here as often as I can.
I hope you’ll enjoy your visits to my little corner of the internet, and I hope you’ll have a chance to visit Iceland and have some adventures there, too.
