I used to have a favorite cookie.
They were made by Keebler: chocolate wafers with a chocolate fudge creme filling. They were a little salty and undoubtedly bad for my teeth and probably didn’t do anything good for my cholesterol or my blood sugar levels. Sometime between the time I left for my last assignment in Japan and the time when I returned, Keebler stopped making them.
But there’s a company in Sweden that apparently got the recipe, and you can get the cookies at Hagkaup, the 24-hour grocery store just a few blocks from where my geothermal surface exploration class is taught.
I have a favorite cookie again.
